Nicholas Thomas Wright is a professor of the New Testament and early Christianity in the School of Divinity at the University of St. Andrews. From 2003 to 2010 Wright was the bishop of Durham in the Church of England, preceded by three years as canon theologian of Westminster Abbey. He has previously taught at McGill University, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge. A prolific author (also published as Tom Wright or N.T. Wright), his publications include The Day the Revolution Began: Reconsidering the Meaning of Jesus's Crucifixion (2016), Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense (2010), Justification: God's Plan & Paul's Vision (2009), The Resurrection of the Son of God (2003), the five-part "Christian Origins and the Questions of God" series, and a series of popular commentaries on the books of the New Testament.
